What advice do you give your 11th-grade self?

The tempo of how life progresses is so fast that every day my past seems more and more like a blur. Yet I do remember what I was thinking, what made me happy, what bothered me and what I did day to day, but that Nana seems very foreign to me.

At the beginning of 2020, my outlooks on many things were much different. I could say I felt very dim. I had a will to shine and I had ideas on how to do it, but I never got around to constructing actions on my intentions.

I mean, she wasn't a terrible girl, but she could've been much, much better!

Regret is a complex word and an even more complex idea to me. I like to think that I don't regret much from my life because as corny it may sound all good and bad did leave me full of experiences. What I do regret though is not experiencing more. I wish I could have been more multidimensional in my self-expression back then, I wish I had followed my teenage curiosities and explored more of what the world had to offer. I wish I reasoned my way out of more boxes and I wish some boxes had less influence on me.

As a teenager you should take advantage of the window of your life where natural curiosity is at its highest and a desire for rebellion is forgiven. As your teenage years come to an end and you become an adult, you realize that you don't have that advantage of freedom that you took for granted.

So to my teenage eleventh-grade self (which trust me differs a lot from the NaNa writing this), I'd say-

Dear,

Do more! Learn More! Don't use these years as an excuse to be lazy and have every day feel the same. Use it to your advantage, enrich yourself as much as possible! Doubt all the walls you construct, ask yourself -

Are you content with what you are doing? Do you like the people around you? Do you feel free to change?

Go ahead, do as many new things as you can, experience all kinds of people, all kinds of ideas, all kinds of interests, seize every opportunity which comes your way and don't take ANY role as your own. Don't become someone too fast, try it all and then when it is time for you to actually mature and become self-realized you will have a hell of an easier time figuring everything out!

ზოგი ადამიანი კი გთავაზობს ბევრად მეტს, ვიდრე თავის სახელს, გვარსა და ინტერესებს. ისინი გაჩვენებენ თავიანთ იერს, განზრახვებს, განცდილსა და ნააზრევს, გემოვნებას, ინტელექტსა და, რეალურად, ცხოვრებას, რომელიც გიზიდავს იმდენად, რომ მათი შეცნობა არამხოლოდ ინტერესის დაკმაყოფილება ხდება, არამედ შენი თავის შეცნობის ახალი გზა.

ჩვენ კი, დროთა განმავლობაში, ორმხრივი სიყვარული, თანაგრძნობა და შთაგონება გადაგვეზარდა მიკრო და მაკრო საერთო ღირებულებებში. ერთნაირი შეხედულებები გვაქვს ჩვენს მომავალზე და აწმყოში უმაღლესი კმაყოფილების გამო, უშიშრად ვდგამთ ყველა ნაბიჯს საერთო ჰარმონიული მომავლისთვის.

ნდობაზე, იმედსა და თავდაჯერებულობაზე საერთოდ არ მაქვს ლაპარაკი.

ვინც გვიცნობს, იცის როგორი ბედნიერები ვართ და როგორ ვახერხებთ ყველა სირთულის გადალახვას და ჩვენთვის სასარგებლოდ მოთვინიერებას.

ხანდახან გიჩნდება გრძნობა, რომ შენი პარტნიორი ის გასაღებია, რომელსაც სულ ეძებდი, რომელიც აღებს ყველა კარს, რისი შეღებაც აქამდე ჩემთვის წარმოუდგენელი იყო.
